The Director of Business Transformation is responsible for project execution within multiple cross-functional business units (ex: supply chain, information technology, process improvements, and strategy. This will be a hands-on role with the opportunity to both execute exciting projects and be a part of a broader strategy as a true business partner. You will help the Transformation Management Office (TMO) build industry-standard best practices for project and program management within the organization while collaborating with the program management team. To succeed in this role, you should have the commitment to roll-up your sleeves and execute projects, help build and strengthen business processes, while also helping build best practices of the organization as a true business partner. We work in a very cross-functional role and are looking for a team member who will learn Cepheid’s business and drive project management best practices.

This position is part of the Business Transformation department and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build and execute against the Business Transformation project roadmap. Participate and provide updates on key metrics during Quarterly Business Reviews.

  • Lead global, cross-functional teams through continuous improvement efforts including the management and deployment of OKRs.

  • Drive and support enterprise-wide strategic priorities through successfully managing budgets for multi-year funding and expenditures.

  • Oversee and orchestrate the administration activities of project management (creating comprehensive action plans, resources management allocation, and timelines).

  • Analyze business objectives for key internal stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure the proper resource allocation to business critical projects.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of relevant work experience OR MBA or Master’s degree in advanced Engineering, Science or Medical field preferred with 18+ years of related work experience.

  • 10+ years experience managing complex global projects.

  • Superior skills in communications, change management, coaching, training, influencing at all levels and effective cross-functional teamwork on a global scale.

  • 10+ years leading and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices and standard operating procedures.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • PMP Certification

  • Proactive Business Solutioning

  • BioTech Industry

The salary range for this role is $180,000-235,000.00 range. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
