Meta Finance Associate, Financial Planning & Analysis in Sunnyvale, California

Summary:

The FP&A team manages Meta’s entire budget of revenue and expenses, overseeing our investments in headcount, operating expenses, and capital investments etc. We focus on using our unique view into ‘the numbers’ to see trends and opportunities that are developing within Meta and within related industries. Successful candidates for this team have a bias toward action, have exceptional partnership and communication skills, and know how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for budgeting, tracking, reporting and analysis of investments in capital expenditures, operating expenses, product development and headcount for Meta’s Network-Infrastructure or Reality Labs organization. In this team, we are executing on systems / processes / partnership models that will drive efficiency, automation, standardization, and speed all while maintaining the depth and value of the actionable insights we provide to support Meta's rapid and scaling investments in AI, AR/VR Devices and the Metaverse. Meta’s Infrastructure and Reality Labs organization have an exciting roadmap ahead to bring new products & experiences to consumers at the cutting edge of AR / VR and Artificial Intelligence. It is an exciting time to join Meta’s Finance team and the role will have tremendous influence in shaping up the future trajectory of the business.

Required Skills:

Finance Associate, Financial Planning & Analysis Responsibilities:

  1. Create strong, deep, sustainable, trusting partnerships across multiple stakeholders with a focus on the full ownership across financial portfolio including end-to-end P&L (Revenue / OpEx/ Depreciation / Payroll) and CapEx, of several billion dollars

  2. Manage all FP&A activities for the business including budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning

  3. Provide insights to business partners through standardized reporting & dashboards, variance analysis, scenario based modeling and portfolio planning

  4. Develop tools to automate and streamline reporting, and create financial KPIs/metrics that help business partners and finance leaders make smart fiduciary decisions

  5. Own ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required, and drive process and system improvements by partnering with cross functional owners

  6. Develop and enforce best practices and policies to manage the company’s Infrastructure or Reality Labs investment portfolio

  7. Understand, impact, and influence business investment decisions through detailed financial analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field

  2. 3+ years of experience in finance, business operations, or strategy consulting

  3. Experience in applicable accounting concepts and financial planning

  4. Experience working and problem solving independently, organizing workload and priorities, and completing tasks on time

  5. Experience with developing forecasts, tracking actuals and variance, and drafting easily understandable narratives around financial data

  6. Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Google Docs/Sheets

  1. Experience managing financial close/forecasting/budgeting processes

  2. Experience establishing relationships with business partners and other cross functional stakeholders

  3. Experience with Hyperion Essbase, Oracle Financials, Tableau, SQL

  4. Experience supporting research/hardware engineering teams and managing diverse product portfolios

  5. Understanding of technical infrastructure or manufacturing industry concepts (e.g. servers, DCs, fiber networks, factory operations)

  6. Excels in navigating through ambiguity and unstructured problems

Public Compensation:

$92,000/year to $135,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
