Bosch Full Stack Engineer in Sunnyvale, California

As a part of the global research organization, our AI research department in Silicon Valley focuses on Foundation Models, Big Data Visual Analytics, Explainable AI (XAI), Natural Language Processing, 3D Perception & Mixed Reality, Cloud Robotics, Data Science, AI Platform, and Time-series Analysis. We develop scalable, intelligent, and trustworthy AIoT solutions to enable inspiring UX for Bosch products and services in application areas such as automated driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), robotics, smart manufacturing, enterprise AI, health care, smart home and building solutions.

Our engineering team is looking for a talented full-stack software engineer who is passionate about building reliable and scalable web services and AI applications. Your work will be used by researchers to bring new innovations to Bosch business units as well as the business units themselves to improve the quality and value of Bosch products.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with an international team of engineers and research scientists to deploy research prototypes into complex and mission critical production systems

  • Scale up, deploy, and update Visual Analytics web-based systems

  • Communicate with customers within Bosch to identify requirements and translate them into work packages

  • Develop, maintain, and document software tooling for AI and data analytics use cases

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain code quality and system performance

  • Iterate with cross-functional teams to optimize system functionality and user experience

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in full-stack development

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technical Field

  • 1+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer

  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, Angular, React)

  • Experience in back-end development using Python

  • Experience with REST API design

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer, with a strong focus on web development

  • Proficiency in back-end development using Python to implement robust and scalable systems

  • Experience in front-end libraries for data visualization (D3 or similar)

  • Experience working in an Agile team

  • Experience working with databases (MongoDB, Databricks SQL, or similar)

  • Experience with Go or Scala

  • Knowledge of orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Proficiency with FastAPI

  • Proficiency to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and stakeholders

  • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $160,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
