Google IC Quality and Reliability Engineer, Technical Infrastructure in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in IC test and reject validation techniques.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in IC test and reject validation techniques.

  • Experience in data analytics, especially to identify commonalities and abnormalities.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, failure mechanisms, and accelerated test methodologies.

  • Knowledge of JEDEC and other industry-standard reliability specifications.

  • Understanding of reliability modeling, data analytics, and statistics.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$223,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Partner with cross-functional organizations to design and execute quality and reliability test plans (HTOL, ELFR, ESD/LU, b/HAST, THB, etc.).

  • Own cross-functional investigation of IC quality and reliability issues to identify root causes and develop solutions (RMA Triage, Analytics, Failure Analysis, etc.).

  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze large volumes of data from Silicon and Package qualification programs, High Volume Manufacturing, and field returns to identify failure mechanisms, reliability trends, and opportunities for yield and quality and reliability improvement.
