If so, we want to talk to you! AppleCare BPR is responsible for delivering cross-functional systems projects across all AppleCare business areas, including Sales, Service, Digital & Logistics. We build strong relationships across the company and stitch AppleCare systems and processes enterprise-wide. We are seeking an experienced leader in software quality to manage a team of Systems Quality Managers. The team is responsible for the preparation and execution of User Acceptance Testing activities on cross-functional systems projects. We collaborate closely with our development teams to build comprehensive test plans that span all phases of testing in the Software Development Lifecycle. In addition to overseeing recruitment, performance and development activities, you will also play a key role in continuously evolving the way we approach test planning and execution. An example is adapting our methodologies to test AI or machine learning applications. You will keep up-to date on the latest technology solutions in market to generate innovative ideas to solve testing/quality challenges. You will drive adoption of best practices for application testing to ensure consistent delivery of quality, performance and scalability.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of leadership or team management experience

  • Demonstrate a track record of developing effective and inclusive teams, comprising mid-career and experienced employees.

  • Experience in software testing and test automation frameworks. Experience testing machine learning and AI applications is a benefit.

  • Demonstrate success in leading multiple priorities, delegating, and establishing operational plans and management processes to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships across all parts of the organization.

  • Demonstrate strategic thought leadership, innovation, and effectiveness in influencing others to drive meaningful change with high integrity.

  • Possess best-in-class communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to all levels of an organization.

  • Ability to occasionally travel internationally and work off/weekend hours to support projects, as needed.

Description

Lead and mentor team to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to foster professional growth and development for each team member. Lead all aspects of the development of comprehensive testing strategies and ensure collaboration with partners to define testing requirements and priorities. Oversee the execution of test plans, verifying thorough and accurate testing. Manage escalations and corrective actions as needed. Ensure clear reporting of test progress and metrics to partners and management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, product managers, and UX designers, to integrate testing activities into the SDLC. Communicate effectively with team members to address testing-related issues and opportunities. Identify and mitigate testing risks including technical risks, resource constraints, and schedule impacts. Proactively address issues to minimize disruptions to project timelines and deliverables. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools. Find opportunities for automation and efficiency gains to streamline the testing workflow. Work with other SQM managers to ensure testing processes and systems are created and implemented with a global perspective, and align testing strategies with overall project and BPR goals. Participate in developing the global SQM org strategy and be accountable for establishing operational objectives and work plans to achieve team goals.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, in a relevant field preferred

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $180,700.00 and $271,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
