Position Summary...

What you'll do...

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Technical Product Manager to join our Walmart Commerce Platform team, focusing on mobile apps. As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the development, launch, and continuous improvement of our mobile apps, driving customer acquisition, engagement, and contributing to the growth of Walmart's eCommerce business. This role requires a deep understanding of technical product management, platform product management, and mobile app development, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:

To be considered a successful addition to the team within the first 90 days, you should achieve the following tasks and priorities:

  1. Develop a deep understanding of Walmart's eCommerce strategy, mobile app roadmap, and key performance indicators.

  2. Establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and legal.

  3. Identify and prioritize key initiatives and deliverables for the mobile app roadmap.

  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive testing plan for new features and enhancements.

Evolution and Growth:

As the Walmart Commerce Platform continues to grow and expand into multiple markets, this role will evolve to meet the needs of the business. Potential growth opportunities may include:

  1. Expanding responsibilities to include additional product lines or features.

  2. Leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior team members.

  3. Developing and implementing new technologies and processes to improve the mobile app experience.

  1. Technical Product Management: Strong understanding of technical product management principles, methodologies, and tools.

  2. Platform Product Management: Experience managing platform products, including mobile apps, and a deep understanding of platform strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquisition:

SEO/SEM: Partner with respective orgs to drive SEO-related work and optimize mobile app visibility. General App maintenance and upkeep: Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of our mobile apps.

  • Platform features such as Barcode Scanner, Notification Center, Theming, Hardware I/O, Camera features, In-app messaging/Banners and Deep-links

  • Legal, Compliance and Policies management: Ensure all mobile apps are compliant with Walmart's legal, compliance, and policies standards.

  • 3P capability/relationship management: Manage relationships with 3rd party partners and vendors, ensuring their capabilities align with Walmart's goals and objectives.

A Typical Day:

As a Technical Product Manager for the Walmart Commerce Platform (Mobile Apps), your day-to-day activities may include:

  1. Collaborating with stakeholders, program, and engineering teams to identify customer and business problem statements and develop realistic action plans.

  2. Processing customer feedback in relevant systems and taking appropriate actions.

  3. Centralizing the management of widely shared and optimized components, implementing telemetry and analytics into key components, and charting the mobile app product to multi-tenancy.

  4. Identifying and prioritizing tasks and deliverables to ensure the successful launch and continuous improvement of our mobile apps.

Pain Points:

This role aims to solve the following pain points:

  1. Centralized management of widely shared and optimized components.

  2. Implementing telemetry and analytics into some key components.

  3. Charting the mobile app product to multi-tenancy across several businesses.

Bellevue, Washington US-11075:The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Sunnyvale, California US-04396:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
