Google Program Manager II, Product Data Management, Google Cloud in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.

  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management or Product Data Management.

  • Experience in product knowledge (e.g., servers, storage, machine learning, accelerators), Bill of Materials, or Change Management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience working in data center infrastructure or manufacturing operations.

  • Experience in managing data center hardware products or supply chain operations.

  • Experience working on NPI or change management with manufacturing engineering teams (e.g., procurement, planning), contract manufacturers, and product engineers.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Product Data Management (PDM) is a global team that manages all the Product information in Agile Product Life-cycle Management (PLM), throughout the product life-cycle. The team makes the product information available to all cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Quality, and more.

The mission is to ensure a single source of truth for the highest quality of product data, improve efficiency/speed and drive consistency of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures. The team works to accomplish this by establishing processes, policies, governance, and tools for product data creation, release, and change management.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Create and structure BOMs and PLM data, with high quality, according to established processes and policies.

  • Manage the workflow to make changes to PLM data in line with the product development processes.

  • Gather information from stakeholders to complete work (e.g., Parts, BOMs, changes are created and released with excellent data quality).

  • Contribute to projects that improve operations relating to part creation, attribution accuracy, and system usage.

  • Interface with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams, other cross-functional departments, and third-parties.
