What you'll do...

As a Senior Software Enginee r on the International Search team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the search functionality of our platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement advanced search features that improve the user experience and drive sales. Your expertise will help ensure that customers can quickly and accurately find the products they are looking for.

About Team:

Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico and South Africa to name a few.

What you'll do:

• Design and Development: Design and develop scalable search solutions using cutting-edge technologies.

• Algorithm Optimization: Improve search relevance and ranking algorithms to deliver accurate and personalized search results.

• Collaboration: Work with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Performance Tuning: Optimize search performance to handle large volumes of data and high traffic efficiently.

• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the search experience.

What you'll bring:

• 3 -5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on search technologies.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java. Strong experience with Web Services and Rest API.

• Experience with search engines like Elasticsearch, Solr, or Lucene.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for deploying and managing applications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
