Our System:

The Optimum Advertiser Communication and Engagement System (OACES - "Oasis") is the centralized communication platform for Amazon Advertising, integrating with various Amazon systems to deliver communications to the worldwide advertising community at scale. OACES connects with Advertisers over mobile, web and email while honoring their specific delivery and language preferences. Although we currently send millions of communications today we are now challenged with increasing our scale in order to support future business needs while keeping high throughput and low latency in mind.

Key job responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer at OACES, you will help drive the technical direction of our offerings and solutions while working with many different technologies. You will be responsible for system design, code quality, unit and integration tests, deployments to production and supporting our internal tech teams. You will have a direct impact on the success of our Advertisers and the overall Amazon Advertising business.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
