Amazon Sr. Product Manager - Tech, Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Local Information in Sunnyvale, California

Amazon's Artificial General Intelligence organization is building the next generation of solutions and experiences with AI, shaping the way information is delivered, consumed and utilized.

That's where you come in. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical to join us in sunny Santa Barbara and help us build the future. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and executing on opportunities to make Alexa the world's best personal assistant.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of high-quality product roadmaps based on product strategy and vision

  • Assume end-to-end responsibility for the strategic value, usability, and performance of our products

  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, scope, and time to market

  • Work closely with engineering teams, design, and business development stakeholders to deliver products to market

  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues to help the team meet business, financial, and technical goals

  • Manage product planning and development through day-to-day collaboration and decision making with a cross-functional team including engineers, designers, and business development partner teams

  • Develop detailed, crisp user stories with acceptance criteria based on customer needs/experience and business requirements that can be used to create product specifications and architecture

  • Work with UX Research to design usability and research studies to inform product requirements and influence product design and experience

  • Define and analyzes metrics that measure and benchmark product success

  • Drive product launches including working with public relations/marketing team, customers, executives, and other team members

  • Play an active role in optimization and process improvements between product, design, and engineering teams

The AGI Local Information team sits at the intersection of technology and local insights. Driven by our passion for local exploration, community engagement, and our technical expertise, we move swiftly and purposefully to develop the most comprehensive, intuitive, and locally-aware assistant. Our goal is to transform the way people discover and interact with points of interests, local events, and other data, enriching everyday experiences.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
