As a Sr. Product Manager - Technical, you will be working with a unique and gifted cross-functional team to developing exciting new products for our customers.

As a Sr. Product Manager - Technical, it is your responsibility to define and deliver a world-class experience that impacts the lives of customers worldwide. In this role, you will drive the product strategy, vision, and execution of new customer facing product initiatives and devices. You will take on the most challenging, ambiguous product management assignments and handle them with autonomy and high visibility. You will work closely with partner teams that include user experience design, marketing, business development, program management, and engineering teams to identify business opportunities and bring new customer experiences to market. You will also work closely with the hardware and software engineering teams to shape the product vision and prioritize features.

Successful candidates will be strong, self-driven leaders who can develop amazing customer experiences at scale, communicate clearly and with data, prioritize effectively, have a consistent record of accomplishment, and are adept at synthesizing a variety of inputs into creating and launching products that customers love.

Key job responsibilities

  • Defining new customer experiences that drive discovery and adoption of new Amazon devices

  • Evaluating business opportunities, defining and re-defining business models and applying, or creating, new and emerging technologies

  • Generating buy-in for the product vision with leadership and partner teams

  • Translating end-to-end customer experiences into clearly defined product requirements

  • Managing prioritization and trade-offs to ensure delivery of a great customer experience

  • Anticipating and resolving strategic and customer issues that impair the team’s ability to deliver

  • Leading cross-functionally to ensure the product vision is adopted and implemented effectively

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.

  • Experience thinking through and articulating a multi-generational product vision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Experience defining new user-friendly products with SW and HW features

  • Experience defining a product roadmap and leading programs that meet aggressive goals

  • Strong persuasion skills and ability to create buy-in for a bold vision

  • Technical proficiency demonstrated through technical degree or equivalent work experience

  • Strategic product acumen and proven ability to define a winning business strategy

  • Analytical aptitude and data-driven problem solving abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to senior executive audience.

  • Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
