Amazon Sr Technical Program Manager, Device Software & Services in Sunnyvale, California

Description

This is a unique opportunity with chief of staff responsibilities for a VP organization in Devices and Services.

This high visibility TPM role will drive VP rhythm of business and lead organization-wide initiatives on employee engagement, and talent acquisition and retention.

The ideal candidate has strong ownership, operates with autonomy, applies high judgement, influences without authority, and has effective verbal and written communication skills for a broad set of peers, stakeholders, and senior leaders.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own mechanisms and process to help the org scale

  • Partner with Finance, Human Resources, and Recruiting on VP rhythm of business activities

  • Co-lead the org's hiring excellence committee

  • Co-lead the org's grassroots diversity, equity, and inclusion group

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
