Job Description

A client in the Financial Services Technology industry is seeking a Senior Node Engineer to join its CTO organization. Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and implement web applications using NodeJS

• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to produce clean, effective, and modern software solutions

• Build and maintain customer-facing web applications in a timely and efficient manner

• Lead the development of web architectures while keeping up with the latest technologies

• Optimize existing code and debug applications to identify and fix technical issues

• Participate in code reviews and ensure quality standards are met

• Develop technical documentation and support end-users in using the applications

• Monitor performance of web applications and provide solutions for improvement

• Develop and deploy applications using cloud-native, serverless, and/or container-based technologies

Rate is $60-80/hr

Skills and Requirements

8+ years' Computer Engineering experience

Deep expertise in JS, Typescript and NodeJS

Bachelor's Degree in computer science or similar

Strong knowledge of serverless architectures and platforms (e.g. AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions)

Familiarity with API design and RESTful services

Experience with CI/CD deployments using Jenkins or GitHub Actions

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Solid grasp of security best practices

Knowledge of performance optimization techniques

Strong knowledge around accessibility and highly available and highly visible applications GraphQL null
