SULLIVAN TERESA M Bookkeeping/Payroll Specialist in Superior, Nebraska

Seeking a full-time individual to provide bookkeeping and payroll services to our clients.

Essential functions:

  • Interact directly with clients to gather relevant information
  • Properly codes and completes data entry of bank statement and other bookkeeping transactions for clients.
  • Reconciles client bank, credit card and loan accounts.
  • Prepares and distributes 1099, 1096 and other related tax forms.
  • Provides back-up support as needed to other bookkeeping team members and their clients.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with attention to detail
  • Attend professional development and training seminars on a regular basis

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting and principles and/or federal and state payroll laws.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software - QuickBooks is preferred
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office applications - Excel and Word
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and uphold IRS standards of conduct

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and highly skilled in accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience recommended, 5+ preferred
  • Desire to work in a public accounting firm
