TAX PROFESSIONAL - SEASONAL Seeking a seasonal tax accountant. Hourly rate based on experience.

Essential functions:

• Interact directly with clients to gather relevant tax-related information
• Preparation of income tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Assist and respond to IRS and State Revenue Department notices
• Manage deadlines
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with attention to detail

Competencies:

• Working knowledge of tax software - UltraTax a plus
• Working knowledge of accounting software - QuickBooks is preferred
• Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office applications - Excel and Word
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in preparation of income tax returns
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and uphold IRS standards of conduct

Qualifications:

• Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and have excellent time management skills
• Follow procedures and complete tasks by assigned due dates
• Minimum 3 years experience preferred
• CPA or EA preferred
