Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
Performs mechanical maintenance work and repair work on all plant equipment and machinery. Receives instructions and work assignments from Supervisor. Works from blueprints of drawings and plans working procedure. Develops and implements new mechanical/electrical operations for improvements. Performs mechanical and hydraulic maintenance and repair work to equipment and machinery throughout the plant as required. Repairs, replaces, aligns, adjusts, and installs parts of plant equipment and machinery. Reads effectively mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings. Operates equipment and makes adjustments to ensure proper operating conditions prior to turning over to operating personnel. Determines material needs and is responsible for getting material to job and for getting necessary parts ordered or made. Directs activities of other maintenance employees at the direction of the maintenance supervisor. Performs any necessary welding, brazing, or burning in making repairs or lubricating parts. Performs climbing, rigging, lifting, and hoisting. Performs minor electrical repairs, pipefitting, and maintenance and construction on plant buildings and facilities, such as replacing and wiring up motors, installing all types of lines, and repairing and replacing parts in pumps. Performs electromechanical and electrical repairs as well. Transports material, parts, and supplies to assigned work areas using a forklift truck/cart or other means of transporting. Reports and/or remedies unsafe working conditions. Keeps necessary maintenance records. Keeps work area in a clean and safe, orderly condition at all times. Follows all safety procedures.
Responsibilities

Repair, replace, align, adjust, and install parts of plant equipment and machinery.
Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
Operate equipment and make adjustments to ensure proper operating conditions.
Determine material needs and ensure materials and parts are ordered or made.
Direct activities of other maintenance employees under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor.
Perform necessary welding, brazing, or burning for repairs or lubrication.
Perform climbing, rigging, lifting, and hoisting tasks.
Perform minor electrical repairs, pipefitting, and maintenance on plant buildings and facilities.
Perform electromechanical and electrical repairs.
Transport materials, parts, and supplies using a forklift truck/cart or other means.
Report and/or remedy unsafe working conditions.
Maintain necessary maintenance records.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
