Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Syosset, New York

Description We are on the lookout for a diligent and meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in SYOSSET, New York. In this role, you will be tasked with managing all activities related to accounts payable, including invoice processing, account reconciliation, and data entry. You will be a part of a dedicated and collaborative team, working in a dynamic telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire process of accounts payable, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and promptly.

• Reconcile account balances, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in the financial records.

• Regularly process check runs as part of the accounts payable function.

• Handle invoice processing, ensuring all invoices are coded correctly before entry into the financial system.

• Perform data entry tasks, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in inputting financial data.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reporting requirements.

• Operate QuickBooks for managing and processing financial transactions.

• Resolve any issues or inquiries related to accounts payable.

• Regularly review and monitor customer credit accounts, taking appropriate measures when necessary. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar position

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Demonstrated experience in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Proficient in Data Entry and Invoice Processing

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with QuickBooks software

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
