Syracuse University Associate Director of Development, STEM in Syracuse, New York

This position plays a crucial role in identifying and engaging alumni, parents, and friends with an affinity for and interest in supporting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs from across campus. This role will drive leadership annual gifts in the short term, with a focus on building a substantial pipeline of STEM donors and prospects at the mid and major gift levels within 3-5 years of engagement. The role serves as a major gift fundraiser responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding prospects and donors. They manage a portfolio of 125 leadership annual prospects in designated regions and will focus on building/maintaining a portfolio of alumni, parents and friends by creating and implementing strategies for cultivating and soliciting prospects who have the capacity and inclination to make gifts/commitments of $100,000 or more.

This position will implement strategic plans to increase philanthropic support for STEM programs, centers, research, scholarships, and funds. Organize and participate in events and face-to-face and virtual meetings to increase support for Syracuse University's STEM programs within the designated regions. Collaborate extensively with partners in academic and central units across the University to build and engage this portfolio.
