CAD Operator

Job Summary:

This position creates drawings using AutoCadd for shop production and dealers and provides CNC programs for the Solid Surface Shop.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

Interpret field drawings provided by Templaters to create drawings for countertop production

Provide approval drawings for dealer review from their design

Maintain a neat and clean work area

Perform related duties as assigned to meet department or company objectives

Accountabilities:

Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely and accurate manner. Follow all company safety policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Draftsperson does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualification Standards:

High school diploma or equivalent required Associates Degree or certification in AutoCAD design Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously. Some analytical ability to gather and summarize data, find solutions to various problems.

Ability to work productively in a fast paced, stressful environment.

Equipment, Machines and Software Used:

This position requires the regular use of a computer, printer, copier, fax machine, telephone, scanner, calculator.

Computer Software: Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel; other computer programs such as AutoCAD and Moraware.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.

Close mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and analyzing data and figures, using a computer terminal.

Physical Exertion:

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.

Must be able to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time.

Environmental Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that may be encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.

There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
