SUNY Upstate Medical University Instructional Support Assistant in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Research Support Specialist to join our innovative research team focused on vision restoration. Our team employs cutting-edge bioinformatics and machine learning techniques to advance this critical field. As a Research Support Specialist, you will be an essential part of our mission, working closely with a diverse group of researchers, including undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. Your work will support our broader goal of translating complex neural data into practical applications that can predict and recreate visual experiences. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Chemistry or a related field and at least 1 year of laboratory experience required, preferably in a research setting. Ability to maintain detailed and organized laboratory records. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential to manage these various laboratory tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with mice is preferred, but not required.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday; Some evening or weekend hours may be required
