The College of Arts & Sciences at Syracuse University seeks a Part-Time Faculty to teach HOA 600 “Studies in Portraiture in the Ancient Mediterranean” (3 credits) for the Department of Art & Music Histories during the Fall 2024 semester.

In this class we will look at the representation of human physiognomy from ancient Egypt, the ancient Middle East, the Hellenistic world, and Rome to better understand portraiture as a phenomenon.

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department. This position is subject to funding availability and enrollment.
