This role is NOT with a public accounting firm. This is a very high growth corporate tax position and the organization has awesome benefits and this is a hybrid position.

Chris Preble is working with a Syracuse client of his that is expanding their corporate tax team. You'll not be in the weeds just pushing out tax returns all day, this is a strategic position. You'll be involved in acquisitions, tax research, expansion analysis and much more. It's a role they're developing you for the next step in your career.

Responsibilities besides those described above will include

• Review of federal, state, and local income tax returns.

• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.

• Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance on tax matters to senior management.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current tax laws, regulations, and best practices.

• Help coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries from regulatory authorities.

• Collaborate with external public accounting firm, external public accounting firm tax department when required.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions.

• Assist with special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree is a must have

• CPA or MBA (or in progress) is an asset

• Current and relevant tax experience
