SUNY Upstate Medical University Social Worker/Therapist Psychiatry High Risk Program in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

Provide high quality outpatient psychotherapy for youth and young adults at Upstate's nationally-recognized Psychiatry High Risk

Program (PHRP). The PHRP is an award-winning, recovery-based suicide prevention program that uses a multidisciplinary team-based approach to address underlying vulnerabilities for

transformative healing, and has been recognized by SAMHSA as a "best practice in suicide prevention". The applicant will collaborate with team members and will be trained in Dynamic

Deconstructive Psychotherapy to provide effective treatment. A well-qualified applicant will have qualities of kindness, curiosity, openness to new

ideas, and ability to collaborate with clients and team members of varying educational and cultural backgrounds.

Opportunities are available for continuing education credits, teaching, research, and career advancement.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, education or a related field. LMSW, LCSW, LMFT or LMHC.

Preferred Qualifications:

Supervised outpatient clinical experience with both adults and adolescents.

Work Days:

Monday through Friday daytime hours
