We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada. * SALARY RANGE: [[custSalaryRange]] * _PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT_ Manage inventory and processes to provide accurate, quality products at competitive cost to customers and to Seedway. * ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Oversees operational processes, business practices and organizational flow of inventory Performs periodic and timely visual inspections of all structural components for soundness, rodent proofing, weather proofing and appearance. Inspects forklifts daily for all safety features, oil leaks, back up signal, lights and documents records. Schedules equipment maintenance as needed to insure safety and efficiency Organizes, maintains, and manages inventory. Oversees product receiving. Maintains labels and assures compliance to seed laws by state. Assures shipping count and lot numbers are accurate to assure customer satisfaction and meet state seed audit requirements. Collaborates with Office Supervisor to ensure customer service and counter sales are efficiently managed and all transactions are documented. Oversees and performs quality control processes as defined by company. Prepares and executes shipments for border crossing and domestic sales. Maintains trial seed inventory in organized and accessible manner. * OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS* Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. * REQUIREMENTS* Normally requires an Associate’s Degree in agricultural or business discipline, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of supervisory related work experience to demonstrate knowledge to effectively manage the assigned facilities. Understanding and experience with competitive adeptness, inventory management, customer credit worthiness, product knowledge and proficiency, Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and have the ability to travel independently. Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant Prefer an understanding of GROWMARK agronomy and/or energy operations. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
