A well-established charter school located in Syracuse, Utah, is now accepting applications for a Jr. High Special Education English Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

Syracuse Arts Academy provides a challenging, accelerated curriculum where academic excellence, character development, and individual growth are nurtured in a safe, orderly and pleasant environment.

In this position, you will work directly with students, implementing positive behavioral strategies. You will support students in a variety of settings including the general education classroom, lunchroom, recess, and special classes. You will also support special education teachers with implementing behavior intervention plans and student safety plans as well as participate in professional development opportunities (including Crisis Prevention Intervention training) to further develop necessary skills in this area. You will use quality methods, such as behavior trackers,  to collect and document student behavior.
