We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team in the Tacoma, WA area. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate entry into the accounting system.
• Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents.
• Resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoices, payments, and vendor accounts.
• Prepare and process electronic payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures and provide support for the accounts payable process during audits.
• Monitor accounts payable aging to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address inquiries and resolve payment-related matters.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of accounts payable operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with internal teams and external vendors
