Job Description
You will handle general PMs on electrical systems, brakes, air systems, and fluid replacements. A significant part of the job involves maintaining tanker trailers used for transporting liquids like fuel and food materials. This includes climbing through the hatch to the inside of the trailer. You must be comfortable with confined spaces and heights. Safety measures include fall protection lines, respirators, and life line systems. Proficiency in fabrication and mechanical work is required. You will tear down damaged trailers and replace damaged sections with new or on-site manufactured parts. Welding skills are a plus, but we are willing to teach welding to the right candidates.
Responsibilities also include various types of aluminum weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture aluminum products according to drawings and specifications. You will work at a consistent speed with minimal repairs, following specific instructions for welding commercial vehicles according to project schedules and budgets. You must be proficient in assigned aluminum welding techniques in all positions and tight spaces using various materials with minimal rework. Reading blueprint drawings and finishing grinding applications using manual and hand tools are also required.
Hard Skills
Ability to tear down damaged/broken parts and either fabricate a new one or replace it
Comfortable with heights and confined spaces
Mechanic experience in Diesel, structures, or sheet metal
Proficient in aluminum welding techniques
Reading blueprint drawings
Finish grinding applications using manual and hand tools

$22-42/hour DOE
