Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Talladega, Alabama, United States. This Accounting Assistant role is crucial to our operations, with responsibilities spanning across accounting functions and administrative assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Assist with the closure of financial books

• Handle communication with vendors and clients

• Carry out weekly check issuance for accounts payable

• Manage and maintain fleet records, including tracking maintenance and expenditure

• Utilize QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Provide assistance in operational tasks as needed

• Perform data entry tasks with a focus on numeric data

• Contribute to coding tasks related to accounts payable

• Offer support in areas outside of regular job description when necessary

Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting software systems

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Quickbooks Online is required

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel

• Ability to provide administrative assistance as needed

• Strong skills in numeric data entry

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• High level of confidentiality and integrity

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
