The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team:

What You Will Do

The Associate Director of Employee Learning & Development will promote RTX’s talent & Learning philosophy across the global, highly-matrixed enterprise and provide top-tier learning development solutions for over 185,000 employees. This role requires active partnership and collaboration with senior HR and business leaders, the Talent centers of excellence (COE) and business unit (BU) talent teams in developing and executing talent development initiatives for various employee audiences. Serving as an L&D expert to the greater Talent Management Learning and Development (TML&D) team, this role directly influences RTX’s culture of performance excellence by enabling sustained growth of high-performing employees, leaders, and teams.

This position reports directly to the Director, Learning & Development (L&D) and will work closely with peer TML&D Leaders and BU Talent teams in achieving organizational objectives.

This position can be worked remotely in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Design a comprehensive learning architecture to ensure all employees have access to just-in-time professional development & learning

  • Drive creation and execution of a comprehensive employee, leadership and team development strategy, ensuring initiatives are aligned with RTX business objectives and values.

  • Collaborate within the Corporate and BU Talent COEs to drive continuous improvement in employee development programs to enable a highly competent and agile global workforce.

  • Oversee Employee Development processes to identify talent development actions, including opportunities to upskill employees in alignment with business objectives.

  • Facilitate innovative learning and development solutions that are accessible for various audiences within a highly matrixed, global organization.

  • Identify and coordinate with internal resources and external vendors to leverage latest learning and development content.

  • Monitor key metrics to assess the success of RTX’s development initiatives across all BUs.

  • Assemble information and deliver data-driven insights regarding the efficacy of employee development programs to key stakeholders.

  • Proactively partner with HR and Talent COE teams to effectively link development opportunities and learning enablement to performance management and total rewards.

  • Lead projects from end-to-end: including creating project plans, benchmarking, establishing key milestones, collaborating effectively with identified stakeholders, and successfully managing timely deliverables.

  • Travel up to 30%.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a University Degree and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or in absence of a degree.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

  • Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, including the connections between talent development, performance management, and total rewards.

  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-growth environment, demonstrating agility and flexibility. Comfortable in ambiguity and managing risk decisions.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to aggregate and utilize data to influence decisions.

  • Project management experience with a continuous improvement and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Effective collaborator that can build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Familiar with Workday functionality.

  • Experience generating professional, impactful, and persuasive presentations that effectively communicate to multiple audiences, including executive leaders.

  • Experience applying change management models and leading varying level of transformation/change involving multiple stakeholder groups at an enterprise level.

  • Capable of successfully designing, deploying, and managing large-scale talent management initiatives.

  • Preferred certifications: leadership assessments, change management, ICF-certified coach.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel).

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. Minimum Program Qualifications:

  • Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application

  • Have prior experience in functional area of interest

  • Have interest in returning in either a full time or part time position

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
