Industry Market Development Leader – Federal Civilian Description
The Oracle North America Platform Cloud Sales organization has an immediate opening for a Federal Civilian Director. This new role is positioned to take the Oracle Cloud message into the Federal Civilian marketplace, directly to senior level executives.
As the Federal Civilian Market Development Leader, you will have accumulated industry-leading experience and knowledge on key industry issues, including trends, regulations, and the industry landscape. You will use this experience, particularly as it relates to industry requirements to position cloud capabilities including data, security, and compliance requirements.
Additionally, you will have a functional knowledge of the information systems and technology capabilities typically used to drive the core business and organizational processes in Manufacturing and have gained experience in a transformation program that involved in whole or in part, a technology transformation to the cloud.
Responsibilities
This position functions at the intersection between sales and marketing, using messaging and resources to improve Oracle enterprise cloud business solutions’ impact on the manufacturing market, and acting as a resource to both marketing professionals and sales executives for insight into that market.
In addition, this person will use innovative ways and tech-based resources such as market analysis and competitive research to better target their industry outreach and refine Oracle’s messaging to that specific segment.
Sales will rely on you as a resource to guide them in their customer engagement, including delivering industry-relevant messaging and ensuring that our selling and technical teams collect and communicate the full value of Oracle---------s enterprise cloud business solutions in the language that leaders in Federal Civilian recognize and understand.
Additionally, this person will work with the global teams to help design the go-to-market strategy and tactical execution to further penetrate key target segments through collaboration and coordination with Sales, Field Marketing, Product Management, and Product Marketing.
Role Requirements
This is a position that involves analytical thinking, creative instinct, and knowledge of one or more of these industries. Success in this role will require industry expertise, an understanding of Oracle--s cloud differentiation, and strong sales and marketing skills. Thought leadership in the industry is highly desirable. You will be expected to:
Build industry segment go-to-market strategy and business plan and assist in sales strategies in tandem with marketing and strategic pursuit organizations.
Collaborate with and support Field Marketing with coordinated and focused marketing campaigns to further develop the industry segment.
Monitors changes in customer behavior, revisit historical assumptions and acquires concrete customer feedback.

Responsibilities
Meets with Sales leaders to create strategic marketing plan in support of pipeline and revenue objectives.
Participant on Sales leadership team and regular pipeline and forecast review meetings.
Develops and implements tactical marketing programs in conjunction with Sales, Channels, Product Marketing, Product Management, Oracle Direct (Telesales), and external influencers such as user groups and industry trade associations.
Provides onsite execution support for marketing programs.
Tracks lead flow to ensure the appropriate Sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely manner.
Builds and manages program budget, measures ROI through metrics analysis and reporting.
Acts as a virtual team liaison for corporate business initiatives, programs and launches.
Provides recommendations on program delivery to HQ virtual team leads.
Communicates program status, action items, and deliverables across Field Marketing team and Sales.

US: Hiring Range: from $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
