Position Purpose:

Leads the design, development, implementation and maintenance of reporting metrics and processes. You’ll collaborate with product leads, business owners, analyze operational data, extract meaningful insights and design dashboards that can convey the right picture to the right audience to drive transparency and accountability.

• Leads the team in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of detailed QA metrics and corresponding dashboards across seniority / leadership levels to enable decision making and insights.

• Develops and executes complex dashboards and charts using appropriate tools and requirements to report QA metrics for specific product functions (incl automation), in-flight projects, infra and data teams across the enterprise.

• Develops and implements standards and methods for data sources, data models, database structure and schema that enables effective analysis and reporting relative to the organization's quality management system.

• Defines reporting and metrics standards by identifying and recommending new designs, procedures and industry trends.

• Keeps updated with the latest industry developments and assure compliance of Centene’s products and processes.

• Evangelize the usage of standardized Centene reporting tools and data sources across the enterprise for wider adoption of QA metrics and related reporting.

• Select, configure and implement analytics solutions within the construct of the organization’s reporting framework and tooling practices.

• Define, establish and support change control and version control mechanisms that support the evolution of, and modifications to, the various reports within the Centene ecosystem.

• ‘Tester mindset’ to delve deep into product quality by utilizing metrics and reporting as the levers.

• Protects assets by ensuring that all work is stored appropriately in the proper repository (eg PowerBI workspaces, Git, etc.) in compliance with organizational and departmental standards.

• Regularly collect, analyze, and summarize information to include accurate data for project reporting as well as a weekly personal status report.

• Leverages synthetic data (as needed) in partnership with TDM team for reporting mockups.

• Understands the nuances of automating the full reporting pipeline, from data ingestion to regular report refreshes, on an automated schedule.

• Integrates the reporting suite with existing CI/CD platform(s).

• Mentors and provides guidance for junior engineers.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).

Requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

• One or more of the following skills are desired:

• Deep data modeling and analytics background

• Strong in database fundamentals (eg Oracle, SQL), including database schema, optimization techniques, etc.

• Strong experience with reporting tools like PowerBI and Tableau

• Experience using APIs to integrate reporting tools with source systems

• Experience designing, creating and maintaining a fully automated reporting pipeline

• Experience with ETL tools (eg Talend)

• Some programming knowledge (eg Java, Python)

• Familiarity with task management software (eg Jira and Service Now)

• Ability to conceptualize, design, and generate a variety of org-wide metrics in a reporting platform for a cross-functional audience

Pay Range: $98,900.00 - $183,100.00 per year
