Based upon the company's needs, weekly work schedule may vary between M-F 8 am - 5:30 pm.
F/T or P/T status:Full-time
Job Summary:
- Assists the optometrists with all aspects patient care+
- Maintains exam rooms, instruments and supplies, and participates in the care and training of contact lens patients
- Take and document patients' medical histories.
- Conduct tonometry or tonography tests to measure intraocular pressure.
- Take anatomical or functional ocular measurements of the eye or surrounding tissue, such as axial length measurements.
- Measure visual acuity, including near, distance, pinhole, or dynamic visual acuity, using appropriate tests.
- Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications.
- Conduct visual field tests to measure field of vision.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Knowledge of medical terminology. Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Other Qualifications:
Skilled in use of word processing, spreadsheet and email software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
