    $43,500.00 - $67,900.00 Annually $1,673.08 - $2,611.54 Bi-weekly

    Position Summary

    This is a professional position that assists with the management and comprehensive analysis of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities revenue management. The incumbent will provide consultation related to the operational aspects of revenue management and serve as a liaison to other divisions of the Agency.

    The Work You Will Do

  • Establishes reporting processes to assist in managing cash within the Agency’s trust funds that provide accurate assessments of current balances. Provides analyses of cash flows and alerts management of potential problems. Makes recommendations for necessary actions as a result of the analyses.

  • Prepares deposits, enters information in Statewide Accounting System and transmits to the Treasury. Responsible for retrieving cash receipts and documentation on a timely basis. Prepares corrections to revenue transactions within one work week.

  • Responsible for identifying Random Moment Sampling (RMS) transactions in Statewide Accounting System and assigning them to the correct benefiting grant based upon the results of the quarterly RMS reports. Prepares files for upload into Statewide Accounting System in format specified by the Department of Financial Services.

  • Responsible for assisting with assigning administrative costs to the benefitting grants in Statewide Accounting System as determined by the quarterly Medicaid Administrative Claiming report.

  • Responsible for processing requests for investments and liquidations received from the Developmental Disability Centers. Must complete all transactions required with the Treasury and in Statewide Accounting System.

  • Monitors and updates procedures related to cash receipts as applicable.

  • Serves as alternate for completing the quarterly cost allocation process in MaxCars, a licensed cost allocation software.

  • Serves as backup for Financial Specialist position.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Accounting/Finance. Associates degree can substitute for two years of experience. Bachelor’s degree can substitute for 4 years of experience.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office 2007 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Statewide Accounting query systems.

  • Statewide Report Distribution System.

  • Federal regulations.

  • Microsoft Office Suite applications

    Direct Deposit Program

    As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.

    Background Screening Requirement

    It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.

Level 2 background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for Statewide criminal and juvenile records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Federal criminal records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation and may include local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies.
