Position Summary
The primary purpose of this job is to provide helpdesk support to non-manufacturing users aswell as other employees. The technician will be responsible for help desk phone and emailrouting, ticket escalation, and will support Help Desk ticketing system. Includes troubleshootingand repairing hardware and software issues as well as doing research on issues as needed. Thisincludes troubleshooting printer, computer, hardware, and software issues as well as ordering,staging, and installing new printers and computers as needed. Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, andreplaces VOIP phones and mobile devices. Basic network troubleshooting and repair. Creatingand installing ethernet cables. Terminating cables and working with the Network Administratorto resolve problems on the wired and wireless networks
Objectives:
Provide helpdesk support to non-manufacturing users as well as other employees. Leading helpdesk phone and email routing, ticket escalation, and can support Help Desk ticketing systemsupport.
Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software issues as well as doing research in issuesas needed.
Troubleshooting printer, computer hardware and software issues as well as ordering, staging,and installing new printers and computers as needed.
Supporting desk phones and mobile devices. Incudes setup, troubleshooting and repair. Installs,troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces VOIP phones and mobile devices.
Basic network troubleshooting and repair. Creating and installing ethernet cables. Terminatingcables and working with the Network Administrator to resolve problems on the wired andwireless networks.
Must be able to lift objects that wight 50 pounds on their own.
RequirementsEducation/Experience:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
