FirstService Residential Compliance Officer in Tamiment, Pennsylvania

Job Overview:

As a Compliance Officer, the primary responsibilitiesare tomaintainan attractive,safeand pleasing environment for residents by performing walking inspections at managers’ discretion. Keep a daily log of the homes inspected and violations noted. Maintain positive, professional relationships with the commercial and residential/tenants and owners, as well as management and vendors.

Schedule:

Weekends

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday- 7:00am-7:00 pm

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assiststhe community association with enforcement of their governing documents and rules by routinely conducting visual inspections of the community and citing owners for non-compliance.

  • Manage the entire process of architectural applications, including generating and sending all approval and denial letters.

  • Read/review plot plans and design plans for compliance.

  • Meet with the Architecture Committee regularly to provide updates.

  • Correspond/respond to inquiries via email or phone with individual owners and provide resolution to question or concerns ina timelyfashion

  • Always provide exceptional customer service to clients and vendors

  • Maintain all compliance with residents

  • Act professionally and responsibility when handling sensitive compliance situations

  • Violation prep/data entry/generating violations letters

  • Keeping a log of all calls/email correspondence

  • Setting up violations for new contracts according to their written policies

  • Backing up Support Team (phones and emails) as needed

  • Review appeals for waivers and extensions

  • Maintain Inspection Schedule

  • Maintain Fine Log

  • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.

  • Conduct business with the highest standards of personal,professionaland ethical conduct.

  • Perform orassistwith any operations asrequiredtomaintainworkflow and to meet schedules.

  • Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need foradditionalmaterial and supplies.

  • Mayparticipatein any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolveproblemsandmaintainspecified level of knowledgepertaining tonew developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.

  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.

  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience in a service-related industry

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication

  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated experience handling conflict resolution

  • Compliance or construction background preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting,carryingand moving objects that can weigh up to 50lbsor more followingappropriate safetyprocedures. This movement can occur throughout the day. You must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.

  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to communicate both on the phone and in person with our clients to resolve issues and manage the business.

  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.

  • Must be mobile enough to move around both the office, to make copies, send mail and faxes and to walk around the property. This could include lengthy walks on uneven areas.

  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in communicating with guests, supervisors, and other associates.

  • Capable of working extended hours, including evenings,weekends

  • This position may alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting, to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting.

  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.

  • Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions,changesand delays. Must be able toremainfocused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances. For safety reasons, employees must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.

  • Must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties
