Description

To succeed in this AP Staff Accountant role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, and high-volume AP processing. Responsibilities

-Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

-Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorter, logged, scanned, and filed

-Fulfill full-cycle AP

-Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

• Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

• Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
