Job Description

The Tampa Division of David Weekley Homes is expanding our Construction Management Team and we’re looking for qualified candidates with demonstrated success in people and operational management.

We believe in setting people up to be successful, so there will be a training and mentoring period to become well acquainted with our operations. This will include completion of our Construction, Leadership and Technical training - as well as mentoring with other leaders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversees the hiring, management and development of Construction team members within their communities.

  • Assures the Builder/Construction Superintendent team delivers a quality product built to Weekley standards on budget and on time

  • Walks product to ensure quality standards are being met at various stages of progress

  • Accountable for Homeowner customer delight results of the construction team

  • Assists Builder and Warranty team with problem solving

  • Coordinates Builder loading and start timing

  • Assures compliance with safety standards, governmental requirements, and Weekley policies and procedures

  • Consistently conducts team and individual meetings with team members

  • Work effectively with developers, government agencies and Architectural Review Boards along with internal Division and Support teams.

  • Maintain visibility in the home building business, actively participating in promoting our communities.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.

  • A minimum of 2 years previous people-management experience, preferably within the home building industry.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong drive for results.

  • Effective at balancing multiple priorities and seeing the Big Picture while managing details.

  • Committed to Customer Delight with excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Experienced in budgeting, operations, and legal documentation.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with a positive attitude and ability to listen.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, resourceful team player with a focus on innovation.
