Robert Half Construction Project Manager (with FDOT exp required) in Tampa, Florida

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Construction Project Manager with FDOT experience in our Tampa office fully onsite. The successful candidate will be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures, equipped to coordinate a team of professionals from different disciplines to achieve the best results. As a Construction Project Manager, you will plan and supervise FDOT construction projects from start to finish, organizing and overseeing construction procedures to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and oversee construction procedures to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

• Understand project scope, budget, and timeframes to effectively manage resources.

• Coordinate with external stakeholders such as DOT, Prime, Subs, Vendors, etc. to ensure project delivery.

• Manage project issues, risks with suggested actions and communicate those findings appropriately.

• Understand and manage document controls and distribution (plans, specs, etc.).

• Transition from Estimating to Purchasing to Submittals to Material Releases.

• Maintain construction management of labor & equipment needs.

• Handle invoicing and approving invoices from Subs/Vendors.

• Resolve any revenue & cost discrepancies and make necessary adjustments with COO/CFO.

• Manage our resource plan (job schedule) and budget (buyout & CTC analysis).

• Understand acceptable material options & lead times.

• Bid and manage project changes (Change Orders, etc.).

• Regularly report on progress of the project to Sr. Management.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in the construction or contractor industry

• Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager with FDOT experience required

• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira and Cisco Technologies

• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and CRM

• Strong understanding of Database and About Time

• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology

• Knowledge of Budget Processes and Change Management

• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

• Proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

• Familiarity with construction/ project management software

• Outstanding leadership and negotiation skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
