Citigroup Data and Analytics Lead (Hybrid) in Tampa, Florida

The Technology and Cyber Compliance and Operational Risk Office (TCCORO) at Citi is the firm’s reliable second set of eyes. Our mission is to drive comprehensive and consistent practices designed to identify, measure, monitor, report and manage operational and compliance risks while promoting the implementation of actions to address root causes which may lead to unintended operational losses or regulatory breaches. TCCORO provides the specialist subject matter experts to challenge Enterprise, Infrastructure, Operations and Technology entities across the firm. We are the technology and cyber conscience of the bank. In line with the Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) frameworks, we aim to ensure that the internal controls that are designed to mitigate technology and cyber risks are managed, mitigated, and aligned with our risk appetite.

The Tech/Cyber Risk Analytics & Reporting Analyst is part of the Risk Analytics & Reporting team which serves as TCCORO’s quantitative analytics function, deploying in-depth analysis, business process re-engineering / automation, and problem solving to support executive planning, execution, and decision making. The role requires engagement with a broad range of stakeholders and SMEs to support process enhancements in line with our operational and compliance risk management frameworks. A successful candidate will have experience in global financial services and proven expertise in reporting, analytics, and project management. They should also demonstrate a strong interest in risk management and a passion for data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve in an execution role to support build out of analytics-driven solutions and reporting which enhance our stakeholders’ decision making.

  • Deliver robust risk analytics and insights leveraging various types of data analysis (e.g., descriptive, factor, diagnostic, etc.)

  • Analyze large and complex datasets and build sophisticated risk driven analysis to help implement a culture of risk reduction.

  • Produce innovative and strategic dashboarding that promotes decision making to advance the team’s mandate.

  • Present your findings in a manner which is polished and easily understood by Operational Risk and business professionals at all levels.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Banking, Finance, or related consulting experience with a focus on data analysis or data science is preferred.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience in various programming languages and/or analytical packages

  • A penchant for story telling using data and visualizations to socialize findings and insights to key executives and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrable experience building data models and/or use of analytics tools/applications for more advanced use cases.

  • Excellent project management skills, communication, teamwork, people skills and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.

  • The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.

  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within and across project teams, functional and business units.

  • Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage at the management level.

  • Ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment.

Education:

  • Degree in finance, accounting, analytics, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or related data science or finance / economics with relevant work experience. Master’s degree preferred.

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
