AdventHealth FT-Occupational Therapist in Tampa, Florida

Occupational Therapist provides self-directed, effective therapy to patients in accordance with the Florida Occupational Therapy Association standards and pursuant to the Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 468.203 (3): “Occupational Therapist means a person licensed to practice occupational therapy as defined in this act and whose license is in good standing.”

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Be able to provide the organization’s Service Standards (Keep Me Safe, Love Me, Own It, and Make It Easy) to every person, every time.

· The Occupational Therapist will practice within the Scope of Standards of Occupational Therapy practice.

· Evaluation: Collection of comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation; Performs consults as indicated.

· Re-Evaluation: Performs assessments as indicated due to changes in patient

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

The Occupational Therapist must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using a combination of skills and abilities.

· Comprehensive knowledge and application of principles of medical occupational therapy for therapeutic diagnosis and treatment.

· Ability to communicate in written, verbal and electronic formats with patients, staff, physicians, nurses and administrators in an effective, accurate and timely manner.

· Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the work of others.

· Ability to initiate and promote innovation and change.

· Ability to establish collaborative alliances and promote teamwork.

· Ability to establish, implement and/or update Plan of Care.

· Possess excellent customer service skills.

· Ability to document thoroughly in the patient’s electronic medical records in a timely manner.

· Ability to meet productivity of at least 75%
