Citigroup ICM Business Analytics Grp Manager, Senior Vice President in Tampa, Florida

Citi continues to enhance its business control and governance framework by building out Institutional Credit Management (ICM), a new function in the 1st Line of Defense, to house and consistently manage credit risk activities performed across its Institutional Client Group organization. ICM’s objective is to provide integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit risk across the enterprise.

The Business Analytics Group Manager is accountable for management of a large and complex Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) area. This position will lead and direct a team of professionals. Additionally, this role requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Excellent Credit Risk and data awareness is a necessity. Accountable for accuracy and stability of Credit Risk metrics and delivery of exposure insight to multiple clients from 1st and 2nd line globally. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of WCR metric output. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate analytical framework to solve business challenges within WCR area ( i.e. Derivatives, Securities)

  • Extract actionable insights based on advanced analysis of credit risk metrics (i.e. Pre-Settlement Exposure, Net Stress Exposure, Sensitivities) and multiple data sets

  • Lead and develop reporting subordinates, especially around developing sound analytical approach to solve business problems

  • Drive innovative thinking about leveraging new tools/methods to transform the analytical capability of the organization

  • Understand regulatory implications and develop mitigation / opportunity strategies

  • Ensure robust quantity control in the analytical processes for Derivatives and Securities exposure calculation and data

  • Cross functional leadership (communication and influencing) to drive towards common goal

  • The incumbent will leverage industry best practices, navigate and leverage internal relationships and become the key point of contact to ensure delivery and adoption

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Credit Risk

  • Teams Management experience

  • Experience in Financial Services

  • Knowledge of Derivatives and Securities

  • Excellent analytical, technical and/or statistical skills with proven ability to translate large volumes of data

  • Ability in strategic thinking and the ability to frame business problems

  • An influencer who communicates clearly and frequently to both technical analysts and non-technical business leaders

  • Intellectually curious, consistently seeking and developing new opportunities

  • Data research experience

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00
