Description

Robert Half has a brand new opening for a Sr Database Developer with a local client of ours.

Position is 100% REMOTE (but MUST live in EST). Compensation ranging $100-125K depending on experience.

Must be permanent U.S. Resident eligible for full-time hours on W2 - no c2c

Must-Have Skills:

• Relational Database Developer experience (NO SQL, MongoDB, Oracle, or SQL Server)

• Spring MVC background

• API projects while developing databases

• Financial Services background

Experience Looking For:

• 8+ years of experience with strong emphasis on relational database

• Candidate must be proficient in relational databases PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL server

• Should have done any of the migration activities using any of the available tools in the market

• Should have knowledge of NoSQL databases as well (e.g MongoDB)

• Knowledge of selected programming languages (e.g. Python, C#) and the Java/J2EE platform or Microsoft Platform (.NET Core)

• Should be involved or have knowledge in building the RESTful APIs

• Should have knowledge of lightweight data-interchange format like JSON, XML

• Should have knowledge of various API profiling tools like POSTMAN

• Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows etc.)

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree

• Experience in the Agile (SCRUM) Development Process

• End to end development support of the application till the final rollout of the application

• Demonstrated excellent presentation and communication skills while conducting functional and technical training sessions

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Databases & ORM: PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL MS Server

• Operating Systems: Windows 7 Professional, Windows NT/2000/XP, MS Windows (95/98), UNIX, Linux, MS-DOS

• Version Control: Bitbucket and SVN
