Citigroup SVP, Business Risk and Control Sr Officer I in Tampa, Florida

The Business Risk and Control Sr Officer I is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically, a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project

Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA)/self-testing and risk management process for ERM

  • Support the coordination and management of the Annual Risk Assessment (ARA) and Quarterly Risk Assessment (QRA)

  • ​Conduct quarterly monitoring, reporting and communication routines.

  • Provide ongoing quality assurance that all businesses and functions are adhering to the applicable Policies, Standards and Procedures

  • Perform and report on trend analysis; find opportunities for process improvements.

  • Continually identify ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of controls, including a focus on value-add control monitoring activities

  • Challenges adoption of EMP across the enterprise

  • Keep Management aware of the risk and control environment of the Business through continuous and open communication, and makes recommendations on improving practices.

  • Work closely with Chief Administrative Office and Operational Risk Management partners to discuss/evaluate key risks/controls and address any Manager Control Assessment (MCA) related inquiries.

  • Acts as subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy

  • Support the coordination of key projects as needed

  • Schedules, hosts and drives meetings with multiple levels of management requiring strong communication, influence skills and diplomacy

  • Ensures project completion, special assignments, and other ad hoc activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Should have Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel (metrics and data analysis), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation).

  • Curious: open-minded, with the enthusiasm and confidence to challenge

  • Stakeholder centric: excellent communication skills, with a pragmatic and practical approach based on a clear understanding of stakeholder needs

  • Adaptable, flexible and creative - particularly when working under pressure

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$130,880.00 - $196,320.00
