Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our company's fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, technical expertise in vehicle maintenance, and a commitment to ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for the company's fleet of vehicles, including preventive maintenance schedules, repair protocols, and inventory management.

  • Supervise a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair operations.

  • Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and external service providers to procure parts, equipment, and services necessary for fleet maintenance.

  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repair history, including costs, parts usage, and service intervals.

  • Monitor fleet performance metrics, such as downtime, repair costs, and vehicle utilization, and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing fleet maintenance, safety, and environmental practices.

  • Train and develop maintenance staff to enhance their technical skills, safety awareness, and job performance.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, logistics, and procurement, to support their objectives and provide expertise on fleet-related matters.

  • Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in fleet management and maintenance

    Required Experience

  • Proven experience in fleet maintenance management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team and interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and fleet management software.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to fleet maintenance and safety.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.

    Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
