• Overseeing and directing all the operations of the Maintenance Department
• Developing and implementing all aspects of a preventive maintenance program for all machinery used in the plant.
• Developing and implementing safety compliance with all OSHA guidelines for the plant and for all employees in the Maintenance Department
• Developing written procedures to ensure Best Practices for every duty in the Maintenance Department
• Conducting daily inspections and spot inspections and plant walk through to identify maintenance needs in the plant.
• Making sure all machinery and equipment is in prime working order in the plant.
• Minimize down time and improve production time through analysis of equipment improvements.
• Having and maintaining a log on all equipment pertaining to the maintenance department
• Reviewing reports from outside vendors and maintenance logs/manufacturers manuals regarding the condition and up-keep of machinery in the plant
• Implementing all Company Policies and Procedures to ensure safe, friendly, and legally compliant workplace for all employees.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety rules and procedures within the company
• Review the performance of all employees in the Maintenance Department during their probation period and annually thereafter.
• Able to work with internal computer system to assure timely execution of preventive maintenance and monitoring of parts inventory.
