Job Description Summary

The Port and Chronic Vascular Access Franchise is the largest franchise within the Peripheral Intervention (PI) Oncology platform and is focused on global expansion and maintaining category leadership in the US. The portfolio includes the first and only metal free, MR safe, power-injectable device in the global category.

As a member of the global downstream marketing team for the PI Oncology platform, the Senior Product Manager is responsible for driving product strategy and execution to achieve business objectives, including but not limited to the strategic direction, general management, commercial excellence, global expansion, and financial performance of the Port and Chronic Vascular Access franchise. This individual will be proactive in identifying opportunities for protection and growth, will develop and align leadership to a vision for the franchise, will drive key market development activities critical to support long-term growth, and will strategize, plan, and execute business/launch plans and marketing campaigns. This position will be accountable for leading cross-functional teams in all aspects of product management including defining, developing and launching new products as well as managing existing portfolio of products. And, the individual will work in close partnership with US sales, regional marketing teams, and other internal cross-functional teams to ensure success of the portfolio globally. The successful candidate will have experience managing product development and commercialization activities across multiple functions and geographies.

Essential/Key Job Responsibilities

  • Own the general management for the Port and Chronic Vascular Access portfolios focused on global commercial strategy, financial performance, demand and supply planning, budget management, product line resolution, sustaining activities, sales engagement, and collaboration with global marketing entities.

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business unit objectives worldwide. This will include analyzing market and customer information, identifying new product innovation opportunities, optimizing product portfolio, launching new products and line extensions, leading marketing campaigns, handling product lifecycles, conducting assessments, developing pricing strategies and guidelines, develop marketing collateral, value propositions, competitive messaging, sales tools, and lifecycle management initiatives.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and strategic customers.

  • Develop and execute bold, tactical marketing/campaign plans and programs that drive business growth & market penetration, while embracing innovative perspectives and implementing essential changes.

  • Conduct and support customer visits to develop awareness of key market requirements, identify unmet needs and support the sales organization.

  • Responsible for consistently meeting or exceeding financial goals and performance metrics.

  • Identify evidence generation requirements that will support ongoing business momentum in response to changing market dynamics.

  • Optimally partner and collaborate with regional marketing and cross-functional leaders, including R&D, Medical Affairs, and HEOR to ensure the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and product strategy.

  • Collaborate and share learnings from the field with upstream marketing team to develop a strong portfolio of product development projects that support the strategic direction and growth of the business

  • Serve as a product and procedure expert to provide technical support to sales force, and assist in training, meetings, and conventions

  • Demonstrates strong business and marketing acumen to conduct market assessments and provide strategic recommendation.

  • Develop and deliver annual global marketing and strategic plans for their portfolios, guiding regional marketing teams in the development of their plans.

  • Provides marketing leadership and excellence across the Oncology platform

  • Enforce all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Experience/Education:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience preferably working in medical device marketing with progressively increasing levels of responsibility in product management and the managing of product managers.

  • Experience managing and leading teams and working cross-functionally is preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities

  • Proven ability to work in high-paced environment and routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing

  • Action oriented with demonstrated ability to drive results

  • Flexibility to travel globally 30% of the time

  • Strong collaborative mindset, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a matrix organizational structure

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
