Position Schedule: Full-Time

The Experience, Brand and Marketing (EBM) Division exists to voice and champion those we serve and seek to serve. We leverage deep stakeholder understanding to guide the firm in creating and delivering unparalleled experiences and growing the number of those we impact. All while dynamically stewarding our brand. The EBM Operations department improves the efficiency and effectiveness of our teams by ensuring we have the right people, process, technology and data available to achieve our strategic goals.

What you'll do...

As a Senior Project Leader focused on Marketing Technology Strategy, you will cast a vision for how new solutions can help the firm achieve our business objectives. The role must understand core business functions across EBM, deep expertise across marketing channels, and strong understanding of the marketing technology ecosystem.

The role lives between our business and product/technology teams and needs to be fluent in each space. This broad understanding will be instrumental in representing the business in ongoing technology roadmap discussions with our partners across the firm (Product Management, Technology, Practice Management, Legal, and Compliance). In addition to needing a strategic mindset, you must excel at the tactical project execution through your guidance of other project leaders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Study the latest technologies and trends from organizations that deliver superior experiences, applying an Edward Jones lens to proactively determine opportunities to advance our capabilities.

  • Partner with digital product management to document current state ecosystem and how systems work together. Critically evaluate our strengths, weaknesses and opportunities.

  • Understand existing vendors feature roadmaps, products, capabilities and integrations. This includes detailed expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

  • Utilize research and consulting partners to evaluate immediate as well as long-term opportunities.

  • Guide a team of thought-leaders that include our agency partners, EBM strategy, SFMC operations, product management, technology and firm strategy to develop a multi-year marketing technology vision.

  • This vision will include a holistic digital technology ecosystem strategy, including positioning, value propositions, key points of differentiation, and custom development alongside vendor supplied solutions.

  • Recommend solutions that address firm priorities, building business case to justify investment that enables Edward Jones to act quickly and decisively.

  • Communicate the vision to firm leadership and build consensus for EBM initiatives to ensure prioritization across various product/technology/EBM teams.

  • Evaluate new technology or experience opportunities as they arise. Determine feasibility and priority if appropriate.

  • Understand the role of data and how to leverage insights to improve marketing results.

  • Facilitate multiple large to complex scope projects simultaneously, with a high degree of risk, visibility and urgency within EBM or at times spanning multiple areas or divisions.

  • Ensure project schedule, scope and quality objectives are met by monitoring, using metrics and controls to measure progress, taking corrective action and escalating issues when necessary. Assess trade-offs to scope using cost / benefit analysis and make recommendations to senior leaders.

  • Partner with project leaders, business leaders and teams to organize the work, manage resources, oversee and/or conduct analysis, synthesize findings, and develop recommendations. Helps team continuously challenge and improve processes and services. Challenges status quo.

  • Provide timely communication of relevant data to senior leadership for decision making. Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across multiple areas, divisions, and outside vendors.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $96471

Hiring Maximum: $164262

Skills/Requirements

What you'll need...

  • 7+ years of experience working with various marketing technologies, preferably in consumer or financial services marketing team showing increasing level of responsibility

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Advertising, Technology or related programs. MBA or graduate degree preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Intelligence, Distributed Marketing.

  • Deep exposure to other marketing technologies, including marketing automation platforms, customer data platforms, email platforms, content management, digital asset management, social media, analytics tools, custom content tools, etc). Must understand how these systems can work together to deliver personalized experiences.

  • Must be comfortable leading discussions between business areas and technical experts. Ability to convey technical concepts in an understandable manner appropriate to the audience.

*Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
