Summary

The IT Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst reports to theEnterprise Solutions Quality Assurance Services Managerand is responsible for ensuring quality delivery of Enterprise Solutions projects at SRP. The analyst will work directly with application development teams, system integration teams, infrastructure teams, project managers, business users and other project stakeholders on testing practices and procedures that adhere to the quality assurance methodology of the department. The Analyst will also be involved in the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts and framework along with the administration of Test Tools and their support.

What You'll Do

  • Test Tools experience includes Open Text ALM Quality Center and test automation tools such as Open Text Unified Functional Test (UFT), or Tricentis Tosca Commander is preferred.

  • Manage downloading, testing, administration, and implementation of vendor releases for assigned toolsets.

  • Ability to perform problem determination and resolution tasks, working with tool vendors and internal technology infrastructure groups as needed.

  • Ability to work within Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.

  • Leads System Integration and User Acceptance testing efforts for teams of testers.

  • Execution of Quality Assurance process and methodology to produce QA-related project deliverables such as Test Plans, Strategies, Cases, Scripts and Reports.

  • Ability to translate functional and technical requirements into testing requirements and scope.

  • Manage and report on daily testing activities and metrics.

  • Responsible for test estimates

  • Ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts, yet flexible to develop, document and execute manual test cases when automated solutions are not feasible.

  • Communicate status to project managers, team members and management.

  • Provides training and mentoring for peers as needed.

What It Takes To Succeed

  • 5 to 7 years Quality Assurance/testing experience is preferred

  • Previous Test Automation experience is preferred

  • Utilities knowledge and experience is preferred

Experience

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor.

Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
