JOB SUMMARY
The Group Sales Agent II educates, trains and helps brokers in selling Health Plan products and services to the employer group health market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Develops sales strategies and prepares information to create impactful and effective presentations to brokers, consultants, prospective clients and business organizations.
Conducts sales presentations and other activities to increase group sales from brokers and consultants.
Adheres to minimum contacts per week including office visits, mail and telephone outreach to meet or exceed the department's established activity standards and projected annual sales.
Participates in community activities, health fairs, chamber activities, etc., to promote Health Plan products and services.
Maintains accurate and current broker account information and files, and submits activity reports.
Serves as a resource by providing information and responding to inquiries from prospective clients and brokers to increase awareness of products and services. Monitors competition and provides information or updates, as appropriate.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional networks and societies.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree plus 5 years of experience or HS Diploma plus 7 years of experience
EXPERIENCE - 3 years of experience
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
Hmo/Group 1 Texas License (HMO): Valid Texas HMO/Group 1 license required at time of hire.
