Description

We are recruiting for the role of Cost Accounting Manager in North Austin, Texas. This role sits within the manufacturing industry and will provide the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Cost Accounting Manager will be expected to conduct a variety of financial tasks, including analyzing manufacturing costs, maintaining standard costs of inventory, and supporting new factory start-up activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly financial close of inventory-based transactions for a number of organizations

• Support new factory start-ups, including accounting for non-recurring costs and training new employees on factory and product cost details

• Prepare financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information for decision-making support

• Investigate and resolve manufacturing variances to standard costs and budgets, with a focus on purchase price variance (PPV)

• Maintain and update periodic cost rolls

• Publish monthly reports of factory performance against pre-defined key metrics and inventory positions

• Collaborate with various teams to create and maintain standard costs of inventory, identify and record financial exposure related to slow-moving and obsolete inventory, and develop new accounting flows for new business models

• Support annual audits conducted by external auditors

• Ensure validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production and work order processing

• Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions is mandatory.

• Experience in Auditing is required.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is essential.

• Expertise in Cost Accounting is needed.

• Proficiency in Cost Analysis is required.

• Understanding of Managerial accounting is necessary.

• Mastery of Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Knowledge of Oracle is required.

• Experience with Oracle R12 E-Business Suite (EBS) is necessary.

• Familiarity with Inventory Accounting is needed.

• Expertise in Inventory Analysis is required.

• Experience in Financial Modeling is necessary.

• Proficiency in Economic modeling is mandatory.
